β€˜It's taken me a long time to understand that they were afraid of us. They were afraid of what we would think, of whom we would elect.

They were afraid it might not be them.’

Centring on the remarkable story of Wimbledon residents Rose Lamartine Yates and Edith Begbie, this new play was an impassioned, unsentimental and sharp-witted tribute to the Suffragette cause in the centenary year.

A cast of three women, a handful of props and original music, brought the incredible story vividly to life. The play was originally performed in Wimbledon Library before touring South West London.
